Clinical Study: Evaluating the Impact of an AI Medical Scribe on Physician Administrative Burden

The increasing documentation demands placed on physicians have become a significant contributor to clinician burnout.

Pilot Study: Evaluating the Impact of an AI Medical
Scribe on Physician Administrative Burden

The increasing documentation demands placed on physicians have become a significant contributor to clinician burnout. AI-powered medical scribe technology automates documentation and streamlines workflow. However, there is limited empirical evidence evaluating its effectiveness in real-world clinical settings.

This clinical study seeks to evaluate whether integration of the Whadata AI Medical Scribe can measurably reduce the administrative workload of physicians.

Study Objective: To assess the impact of implementing an AI Medical Scribe on total weekly administrative hours worked by physicians.

Primary Endpoint: Reduction in total administrative hours worked per week by participating physicians, comparing baseline (pre-implementation) and follow-up (postimplementation) periods.

Secondary Endpoint: Physician-reported satisfaction with
documentation workload

Study Design:
Type - Prospective, observational, before-and-after pilot study

Duration - 8 weeks total (2-week baseline, 4-week
implementation and adaptation period, 2-week postimplementation
measurement)
